Senior Art and Communications Director
Fernando L. Rodriguez is a Puerto Rican award-winning Art Director and Multicultural Communications Specialist with more than 25 years of combined experience in publishing, advertising, PR, event planning, public health and Hispanic marketing.
As HCN’s Senior Art and Communications Director, he produces fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials, video, radio, and digital experiences for Hispanic/Latino audiences. He is responsible for developing creative materials, including brand logos, radio scripts, video storyboards and campaign assets for displays, video, websites, social media and out-of-home.
Fernando’s previous experience includes Art Director at The Moore Agency where he led the agency’s Department of Hispanic Marketing, responsible for Hispanic campaigns for Fortune 500 companies including PhRMA, Ford and The Lincoln Motor Company. As Communications Director at the Virginia Department of Health, he led a team that developed public health campaigns including COVID-19 outreach for Latino’s and Hispanic audiences.
Fernando holds a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in communications from Florida State University.
