Chief Financial Officer
Bill Rodriguez, CPA is a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience managing all accounting functions, project management, financial and program analysis, budgeting, cost accounting, development and implementation of policies and procedures, writing and developing analyses and reports, accounting software implementation and migrations, financial and tax reporting, annual financial statement audits, performance audits (applying guidance per OMB Circulars and FAR Part 31), business consulting, training (systems and processes) and executive recruiting. Highly experienced with ERP and accounting applications. Bill possesses strong working knowledge of various industries including government contracting, commercial, nonprofit, and public accounting.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Bill provides macro- and micro-/day-to-day level management, administration and strategic consultation on both short- and long-term operations, expenses, current and projected revenue streams, financial reporting, compliance, risk management, and management of human resource and administration.
Prior to joining HCN, Bill provided CFO level financial accounting management (internally and for clients) primarily consulting to Government Contractors, small businesses, and nonprofits. Bill’s previous roles include as the Chief Financial Officer for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Assistant Controller for the Freedom Forum (the parent company to the Newseum in Washington, DC), as well as Controller for a number of government contractors, small businesses and nonprofits in the DC area (including those with international operations).
Bill holds both individual and firm CPA licenses, a B.S. in Accounting and Business Legal Studies from George Mason University, and graduate studies in the MBA program at The George Washington University School of Business. Bill is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (GWSCPA), and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA).
A native of Washington, DC, outside of HCN Bill enjoys playing golf, working out (especially running with his Husky/Aussie mix “Max”), spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
