Between 2010 and 2020, the country’s Hispanic population grew by 23%.  Of all Hispanics in the US, 61.5% are originally from Mexico, followed by smaller percentages from Puerto Rico, Cuba, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic. These are the 10 cities where the most Latinos live in the United States:

  1. Los Angeles, California: Of the 3.8 million people who live there, 1.8 million are of Latino origin, representing 47% of the total.
  2. Houston, Texas: 43.97% of the population are Hispanic, with a population of over 1 million.
  3. San Antonio, Texas: 916,010 Latinos live in this city, which represents 63.85% of a total of 1.4 million inhabitants.
  4. Phoenix, Arizona: the capital of this state has a population of 1.6 million inhabitants. Of that total, 41.1% are Latino.
  5. El Paso, Texas: one of the main cities on the southern border. El Paso has one of the highest percentages of Hispanic population of any city in the United States. It has 678,815 inhabitants, of which 551,513 are Hispanic, which represents 81.25% of the total population.
  6. Dallas, Texas: is one of the largest cities in the state, with 551,174 Hispanics among a total of 1.3 million inhabitants. This represents 42.2%.
  7. Fort Worth, Texas: 34.8% of the inhabitants of this city are Latino, a total of 319,836.
  8. San José, California: Of the 1 million inhabitants in the city, 316,266 are Hispanic, that is, 31.21% of the total population.
  9. Austin, Texas: 312,448 Latinos live in this city, which represents 32.48% of a total 961,855 inhabitants.
  10. Miami, Florida: 310,472 people, or 70.2% of the 442,241 total inhabitants are Hispanic.
