VP of Client and Sponsor Services
Lina Cruz is the Vice President of Client and Sponsor Services at Hispanic Communications Network (HCN). With over 20 years of experience, Lina Cruz leads the development and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies for multimillion-dollar public, private and nonprofit organizations across diverse industries in the U.S. and Latin America. Lina Cruz continues leading ideas that transform behaviors and deliver results for clients and sponsors.
Prior to joining HCN, Lina served for nearly two decades as the Marketing Director of GrupoUno International, a marketing communications agency. She was responsible for the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for Nestle, Canon, Jackson Memorial Hospital – International Division, BUPA, Porsche Latin America, MASCO Latin America, and Kingston Technology, to name a few. Her responsibilities included setting communication strategies, budget allocations, multiplatform media plan recommendations, digital strategies, B2B and B2C activities, BTL and POP material, and similar results-driven approaches in order to secure conversion, acquisition, and retention of target audiences.
Lina also served as a college professor at Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) in Bogota, Colombia for client services and corporate communications. She worked for the oil company Hocol, part of the Nimir Petroleum group, where she orchestrated various community communication projects for the Department of Public Affairs and Communities. Early in her career, Lina Cruz was a reporter and announcer for Radiodifusora Nacional of Colombia, a cultural and environmental themed radio program, for three years.
Lina Cruz is a graduate of the Campus Stellae, Spain with an MA in International Marketing and a BA from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia, in Social Communications.
